Use your own domain (like anasbakery.com)
Connect a domain you own: add one record where you bought it, and your site moves there with the padlock (HTTPS).
Buy your domain at any domain company (for example GoDaddy, Namecheap, Squarespace Domains or Cloudflare), if you don't have one yet.
In the editor, open Site settings and click Your own domain. Type your domain, like anasbakery.com, and click Connect domain.
Belacsbox shows you two records. Record 1 (Type CNAME, Name usually www) points your domain at your site. Record 2 (Type TXT, Name _belacsbox.www) shows the domain is yours, so nobody else can ever use it. Sign in at your domain company, open the DNS settings for your domain, add both exactly as shown and save. Each value has a Copy button, so you don't have to type them.
Come back and click Check now. Most records work within minutes; some companies take up to a day. The page shows three steps - Add the records, Padlock (HTTPS), Live - and updates by itself while it is open. We also keep checking on our own, so you can close the page.
Once it says Live, your site opens at your own domain with the padlock, and your free address sends visitors there automatically. Nothing else to do: your contact form and sign-up form keep working.
- Without www (anasbakery.com): if your domain company allows a CNAME, ALIAS or ANAME record at the root (@), add one with the same Value. If it doesn't, use its Domain forwarding to send anasbakery.com to https://www.anasbakery.com.
- Personal includes 1 own domain and Business 3. Own domains come with a plan: you can choose one any time during your free trial.
- The domain stays yours. To stop using it, click Remove this domain: your site goes back to its free address and you can point the domain anywhere you like.
- Change your domain with no downtime: click Change domain, type the new domain and add its two records where you bought it (Belacsbox shows them, with Copy buttons). Your site stays on the current domain meanwhile. When the new one is ready, your site switches to it by itself, and the old domain forwards visitors to the new one, so old links keep working.
- Changed your mind before it switched? Click Cancel change: your site stays where it is. Once you no longer need the old domain, click Stop forwarding. Keep the old domain's two records while it forwards: if you remove them or let the domain expire, forwarding stops by itself.
- Keep both records in place for as long as you use the domain. If you connect a domain and don't finish within 14 days, it's freed so it can be connected again.
- If the status says Record changed, someone changed or removed the record at your domain company. Put it back as shown and click Check now.
