Get, read and answer contact-form messages
Add a Contact section; every message is emailed to you and kept on your Messages page.
In the editor, click Add a section, then Contact. Choose the fields people fill in (name, email, phone, a short text field, a message) and which ones are required. Publish your site.
When someone sends the form, you get an email right away. Reply to that email to answer them: it goes straight to the address they typed.
To see every message, click Messages on the site's card in Your sites (a blue number shows how many are new), or Messages at the top of the editor. The email has a See all messages button too. Click Reply to answer one, or Delete to remove it for good.
Good to know
- Spam protection is built in: a hidden trap for bots, a limit on how many forms one visitor can send, and a block on messages stuffed with links.
- The form works on your free address and on your own domain, with nothing to set up.
- Only the account owner can see messages: they are your visitors' personal information. Turn the emails off in Site settings > Email sign-ups (the messages are still kept here).
